Is the Spanish version really included? Can I add more languages?
Yes. Every plan includes a full English and Spanish version of your site with a language switch. Need more? Add up to 2 more languages (e.g. Portuguese, French, German or Italian) for $59 each, up to 4 languages in total.
How long does it take?
Typical timelines are 3 business days for Basic, ~7 business days for Business and ~10 business days for Enterprise, counted from when we have your content (texts, photos, logo). Need it sooner? Choose Rush delivery.
How does payment work?
A 50% deposit reserves your spot and starts the project. When your site is finished, you review it on a private preview link and pay the remaining balance only once you approve it, before we publish it. You can pay by card or PayPal. More payment methods are coming soon. Care plans are billed monthly starting at launch.
Do I have to pay a monthly fee?
No. Care plans are optional. Care Essential ($29/mo) covers hosting, SSL, backups and security; Care Plus ($59/mo) adds about one hour of changes every month. If you prefer to manage hosting yourself, we’ll help you set it up.
What’s included in the price?
Design, development, the English + Spanish versions, mobile optimization, SEO basics, SSL and launch on your domain. Business adds a gallery, booking, online payments and local SEO. Domain registration and third-party fees (payment processors, booking tools) are paid directly by you.
What do I need to get started?
A short brief about your business, your logo and photos if you have them, and the text for your pages. No logo or copy yet? We offer logo design and copywriting as add-ons.
Can you redesign my current website?
Absolutely. Share your current site in the project brief and we’ll tell you what we’d keep, what we’d improve and which plan fits best.
Who qualifies for the Kindness discount?
Nonprofits/NGOs and businesses with a clear social mission. Apply through the project builder and tell us about your work. We review every application personally. If approved, you get 50% off development.
What does the 30-day guarantee cover?
For 30 days after launch, we fix anything we built that isn’t working as agreed, at no cost. That includes bugs, broken links or forms, and display issues. New features and new content are quoted separately or covered by Care Plus.
Do you work with businesses outside my city?
Yes. We work remotely with small businesses across the US, in English or Spanish, by video call or email.
Can I see the website before paying the rest?
Yes. You review the finished site on a private preview link before paying the remaining 50%. It isn’t public or on your domain yet. From your client portal (jhduo.com/project) you can request changes, or approve it and pay the balance securely with PayPal. Then we publish it.
Who publishes the website, and do you need my passwords?
You choose. JH Duo publishes it (recommended): you invite [email protected] as a collaborator on your hosting/domain or give us DNS access, no passwords shared. Or you publish it yourself: you get a .zip with the site, a step-by-step guide and an optional 30-minute video call. Same price either way. We never ask for passwords by chat or email. If your provider has no collaborator access, you set a temporary password, share it via a self-destructing link (e.g. Bitwarden Send), and change it after launch. Your hosting and domain always stay in your name.
